Hello / Annyeonghaseyo(안녕하세요)!
I'm Kiwi, a biology student / digital artist based in the UK. (Though at the moment I'm in South Korea!)

This webpage is mostly about my drawings.
I've never learnt to draw professionally, but I hope to practice and experiment more as I go along so that I can better express the scenes and characters that pop into my mind.

In biology, my interest is in plant biology / botany and ecology. My favourite organism (or a group of organisms) are mosses, which are beautiful plants although their small size means that they are often overlooked. I upload pictures of mosses and other plants & animals that I find on a platform called iNaturalist, which you can see in the 'Links' section above.

On this webpage, you can find some of my work along with related extra bits. If you would like to see my other drawings that are not here, please see my Instagram feed.

안녕하세요!
저는 영국에 거주하고 있는 생물학과 학생 / 디지털 아티스트 키위입니다. (지금은 잠시 한국에 있습니다!)
그림을 전문적으로 배운 적은 없지만 앞으로 다양한 연습과 실험을 하면서 떠오르는 장면들과 캐릭터들을 더 생생하게 그려내고 싶습니다.

생물학에서 관심있는 분야는 식물학과 생태학입니다. 작은 크기때문에 흔히 지나치게 되지만 가까이서 보면 아름다운 식물인 이끼를 개인적으로 좋아해 위 '각종 링크 및 연락처'에서 보실 수 있는 iNaturalist라는 플랫폼을 통해 주변에서 관찰하는 이끼들과 이런저런 생물들을 기록하고 있습니다.

이곳에는 몇몇 그림과 관련된 이런저런 것들을 올리고 있습니다. 여기에 없는 다른 그림들은 제 인스타그램 프로필에서 보실 수 있습니다.

비영리 개인적인 목적이나 2차 창작용으로 제 그림을 다운로드받으셔도 되나, 원작자는 꼭 명시해주세요! 만일 영리적인 목적으로 제 그림을 사용하고 싶으시다면 사전에 이메일로 세부사항과 함께 문의해주시기 바랍니다.

"Next up is... <Where You Stand> by Travis. A friend of mine - who I don't get to see an awful lot these days - actually taught me how to play this song. That was the first ever song that I learnt how to play on the guitar which, considering there's this B minor chord that's tricky to get right if you're a beginner, is a strange choice on his part. Anyways, it just kinda stuck with me and playing it reminds me of him. Hope you enjoy it, and Mark, I hope you're doing okay."

"다음 곡은... Travis의 <Where You Stand>입니다. 이 곡은 제 친구가 - 요즘은 얼굴을 보거나 연락도 하기 힘들지만 - 가르쳐준 곡이에요. 사실 기타를 이 곡으로 시작했는데 B 마이너 코드같이 어려운 코드가 있어서 왜 그 친구가 이 곡을 첫 곡으로 가르쳐줬는지는 지금 생각해보면 좀 이상하네요. 아무튼, 그래서 아무래도 이 곡이 제일 손에 잘 붙는 곡이고, 가끔 치면서 부르면 그 친구 생각도 나고 그럽니다. 잘 들어주시면 감사하겠습니다. 그리고 마크, 건강하게 잘 지내고 있으면 좋겠다."
